Purpose
As the local chapter of the Massachusetts Women of Today, our purpose is to contribute to the betterment of our community while providing leadership training and personal enrichment for our members.

and stand united by our friendship and belief in the future
Membership
Membership is open to all persons at least 18 years of age. The United States Women of Today, our parent organization, has over 3600 members in 16 states nationwide.For further information please send enquiries to Julie Hutchinson or Joanne Eisner .
Activities
General
Internal: personal enrichment (effective speaking, effective writing), Focus on Women, Project Recognition, Team Building, Leadership Training, and S.T.E.P. (Success Through Enthusiastic Participation).
External: external programs are supported at the state and national levels through the Massachusetts Women of Today and the United States Women of Today, on a rotational/bid basis. Currently we support:
- State Charity: MSPCC.
- National Charity: National Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
Local
Our local activities include fund-raising and other efforts in support of local charities and non-profit organizations:
- donations to the food pantry Support for the Food pantry, the Elderly and Shut-Ins
- Special Christmas support for the needy
- Annual Community Halloween Party for children
- Scholarships for High School students
Meetings
Bellingham Women of Today General Meetings are open to all and are held at 7:30pm on the first (holidays excepted) Monday of each month, Sept. through June at the Bellingham High School cafeteria. Numerous other events and activities are scheduled and run by the Chapter.
National meetings are held twice a year, a mid-year meeting in October and a year-end meeting in June. State Meetings are also held three times a year.
