As part of a membership drive, our group sponsored two "Open House" events in the Fall of 2005 at the Chelmsford Public Library. On September 29, we held a Chocolate buffet and asked Chelmsford Police Officer Jennifer Bellissimo to speak briefly about identity theft prevention. Then, on October 19, we held an Apple buffet at which Norman McBride presented a self-defense demonstration.

To publicize these events, one of our members, Kathryn, became a guest on a local cable TV show called "Town Talk", hosted by Dennis Ready. She informed the public about our organization and invited viewers to attend our two "Open House" nights.
