What are Service Projects?

Service projects are those held for or within our community in support of an event or needy cause

Examples of Some of Our Past Service Projects:

  • Used clothing drives
  • Eye Screening Clinic with Lions Club
  • Made quilts for pediatric hospital patients (Linus Project)
  • "Secret Santa" – gave Xmas gifts to Chelmsford children in need.
  • Food Drive for local pantry
  • Donated stuffed bears/animals to "Tender Teddies" and "Project Smile" – used by police, fire fighters, and paramedics to calm kids when responding to domestic violence calls/traumatic events.
  • Donated to "Toys for Tots"
  • Gave aid to individual causes – Eagle scout projects, local Sept 11 families, etc
  • Helped organize social gathering for military families with deployed spouses
  • Involved in town cleanup days
  • Donated Picnic Tables and Benches to Parks/Open Space and also contributed to outdoor skating rink
  • Did Playground/Park improvements (ie: painted Robert’s Field swing set, slide, etc)
  • Blood drives with Rotary Club – supplied cookies, juice, etc
  • Halloween Parade – found an indoor mall and invited costumed kids to "Trick or Treat’" at participating stores, gave out prizes for best costume, provided free cider, gave out balloons, etc
